Surfaces enhanced with a germ-repellent feature were tested against unmodified counterparts to observe the improvement in preventing bacterial attachment. Fixed concentrations of bacterial solution were grown and placed on top of the testing samples. These samples were then placed in simulated environments with temperature and humidity levels highly conducive to biofilm formation. After a designated time period, unattached bacteria were washed away and the remaining attached bacteria were counted.

The GERMREPEL® drinking bottle is made much like our other drinking bottles. The only difference is the inclusion of specifically tailored germ-repellent agents in the initial mixing process.
